For SMEs who have a workforce-related challenge but don’t have adequate HR resources and experience to address it, Building Better Workplaces is the affordable HR expert that helps SMEs understand the cause of their issues and creates an action plan that addresses them – ultimately, contributing to improved morale, productivity and retention.

MSTN

The BBW program is delivered by the Manitoba Sector Training Network (MSTN).  MSTN is a formal group of 16 sector associations, representing approximately 200,000 Manitoba workers and 3000 Manitoba employers.  These sector associations have formed MSTN to accomplish the following common goals:

  •   Promoting productivity, competitiveness and community economic development

  • Encouraging entrepreneurship and small and medium business start-up programs

  • Strengthening the skills of our Manitoba workforce

  •  Responding to the labour market changes

  •  Strengthening the skills of our current and future sector leaders 

  • Encouraging joint and co-operative projects between industry sectors, educational institutions and government
